Governor Of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola says his administration is worried
over the poor performance of students in public schools, but not
deterred.
He expressed optimism that at the time his administration's efforts in
the education begin to come to fruition, the state eduction would rank
the best in the country.
Aregbesola was speaking today at a summit on standard construction and
Rehabilitation of schools in the state, held at the state secretariat
Abeere.
He averred that a conducive environment for learning goes a long in way
promoting quality and sound education, hence the un-relented commitment
of his administration towards revamping the sector in the state.
Aregbesola emphasised the need for professional builders to look for a
way to patronise local building materials to minimise cost and ensuring
quality in the construction of schools in the state.
While speaking on the crux of the summit, the permanent secretary Osun
state universal Basic education Board SUBEB, Mr Fatai Kolawole says it
was conveyed to generate ideas and seek input from professionals on how
cheap and affordable local materials can be used to construct schools in
the state.
